Strengthening Diversity
Extraman prides itself on being an equal opportunity employer. Indeed, over the years it is fair to say that of the temps engaged by Extraman, a significantly high proportion of temps have come from ethnic minorities, or overseas, traditionally from Commonwealth countries and more recently from the EU. Most recently, we have seen a pool of labour from the accession countries within the European Union.
One of our strengths has been our location in the heartland of Earl's Court, and candidates are drawn in by our central position, but more so by our reputation as a fair and genuine provider of labour in an often low-paid industry.
Over the last few years, we have seen a further development in policy outlook, and being on board the CompeteFor (Olympic) portal, an increasing emphasis is being made on further development of ethical resourcing initiatives, and in particular looking to the needs of disadvantaged groups of workers. There are groups of workers for which positive efforts to attract into the workplace can be hugely beneficial, both on a personal level but also as part of a socially responsible society, and Extraman are looking at ways to be a part of a process that encourages minorities back to work.
To this end, we intend to develop relationships with Job Centres, charities and disadvantaged groups - if you represent any bodies with which we can develop a partnership, please contact duncan@extramanrecruitment.co.uk or call 020 7373 3045
