AWR Update

Well into the second month of working within the new regulations, Extraman has been seeing the benefit of lengthy dialogue with our clients.

Our aim over the past year or so has been to ensure that all of our clients are well placed to meet Day 1 Rights, and also to ensure compliance with the 12 week pay and condition rights. Extraman is very conscious of our obligations and commitment to ensure fair treatment for temporary workers, many of whom have been with us for years, and also to our clients, for whom there may clearly be financial implications. We are very happy that our clients have, almost universally, accepted our approach, which is based on working within both the legal obligations placed upon us, but, perhaps, more importantly, within the spirit of the legislation. For this reason, we have avoided the Swedish Derogation route favoured by many of our competitors, which we believe to be commercially expensive if applied correctly, but in the worst case, a tactic in avoidance if not.

If you would like more information about how the Agency Worker Regulations may affect you as either a Company or an individual temporary worker, please call us on 020 7373 3045.
